Technology is our friend

Freebookapalooza ?! I cannot understate my excitement about this. It combines three of my favorite things: Books, newly made up words (because all words were made up at some point), and...well, FREE! Eek! 

In addition, I am excited to learn new tech tips that will help me save time in my day. Probably unlike many of the students here, I am a working adult. I would not be able to get through my work day without many of the tools you mentioned, such as bookmarks and Google docs, and I am always looking for ways to use technology to make things more efficient. I dislike the fact that most of us, myself included, barely scratch the surface of the capability of the technology that we use everyday. Most of us have smart phones and other devices capable of so much more than posting on social media and helping us find the nearest coffee shop. Even though I am just as guilty as the next girl, I am eager to learn more about the technology at my fingertips. To look below the surface and find the rest of the proverbial iceberg.

Hello everyone! My name is Samantha Hatch, and I am excited to be back in school. It's been a little while (a long while) since I've been in the university routine. I am working on a Multidisciplinary degree that combines Information Studies with Management Information Systems. Currently, I work as a paralegal and records administrator for the state of Oklahoma. This degree should help me obtain a position with a private e-Discovery and information governance firm. At least...that's the plan! While e-Discovery seems like a far cry from Mythology, I am also excited about this course. In one of my past lives, I was an English major. I really loved looking at ancient cultures by studying their heroes, their legends, and their religions. Raven Meet the Young Boy One day, after Raven had shaped many animals out of the clay and made hills and trees for the earth plain, he chose to take a rest. He walked slowly along the shore near Man’s home and came upon Man’s young son playing in the grass outside the house. The young boy skipped and spun around playing by himself. Raven watched as the young boy picked up a stick from brandished it at the air, mimicking the hunters like his father. And Raven smiled at the boy. On and on the boy played an Raven delighted in watching his games. Raven decided he would make the boy laugh. As Raven approached, the young boy was startled from his imaginary game. In fear he shrunk away from Raven’s massive black form. Raven was surprised at the boy’s fear. He raised his beak, like a mask, and shed his Raven form so that we would look like the boy and his father. Then the boy was no afraid. But he did not smile.
